Tabb
Club Helps Provide Christmas Party
by Vivian Tanzer
The Tabb Kiwanis Club
partnered with the Lackey Free Clinic to provide a
Christmas party for the patients and their families.
The Kiwanis Club of Tabb supplied stockings donated
from members and collected from churches and individuals
and had Santa Claus, Hank Brodsky from the Poquoson
Kiwanis Club, deliver the stockings to the children.
The Lebanon Christian Church offered their facility
and the Yorkminster Presbyterian Church youth group
created a festive and inviting atmosphere. Lackey Free
Clinic is a faith-based facility located in Yorktown,
Virginia and has been providing services for over 13
years. Offering free medical care, dental care and
prescriptions, the clinic strives to build a bridge
of healing and compassion to serve the physical, emotional
and spiritual needs of the medically disadvantaged
on the Peninsula. They depend on donations, grants
and fundraising events to meet their growing needs.
