President Elect's Regional Training
by Past Gov. Bob Cressy

Past Governor John Tyner II, a Kiwanis Certified Trainer, conducts the second of three sessions of Club Officer President Elect training to help prepare them for their 2009-2010 term as President. John is assisted by Past Governor and Kiwanis International Candidate for Trustee Jerry Peuler.

This Session Two training was the Potomac Region's mandatory class for Presidents Elect for Division 1, 17 and 22. The first session for the Region was in LaPlata, Maryland and the third will be within the District of Columbia.

Potomac Kiwanis Club President Dave Drake and President Elect Aaron Ferrufino take part in the interactive training presented by PG John Tyner. Potomac Club Secretary Nancy Cressy (not shown) also attended. The class was at the Montgomery College campus after the attendees had breakfast at the Rockville Club's Annual Pancake Day on December 6th. Now that's a way to improve attendance - Feed them!

Remember that club training of officer's is a mandatory requirement check-off to attain Distinguished Club status. And not so by-the-way, since it's a real good idea to know how to become a great President! You already know how to manage a business, here you learn more about the Kiwanis "product" and review the "tools" offered in the "Leadership Guide" by KI. Officers also learn techniques from those 'who have been there' and share new ideas!
