Point Club Holds Holiday Season Party

Christmas Party at Riverside Convalescent Center
On December 16, 2008, the Old Point Kiwanis Club hosted its annual party for the residents of the Riverside Convalescent Center in Hampton, Virginia. This is the twelfth year the Club has hosted this event. Old Point Club members entertained the residents by singing Christmas carols. They also presented a music and pictorial version of the Twelve Days of Christmas, a perennial favorite of the residents. Highlights of the party included club members Cloretha Holland performing a saxophone solo of Silent Night and signed interpretation and dance to O Holy Night and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer by Dorothy Murray. The party ended with Club members presenting Christmas gifts to the residents.
Christmas Breakfast
The Old Point Kiwanis Club held its annual Christmas Breakfast at the Golden Corral Restaurant in Hampton, Virginia on December 20, 2008. The breakfast a relaxed affair and gave members the opportunity to fellowship and reflect on some of the Club's activities prior to the start of the holiday season. Club members also had time to discuss the upcoming programs for the balance of the 2008-2009 program year. A good time was had by all.
