Suburban Frederick Club Donates
to Program Pajamas
by David Maloney
The
Kiwanis Club of Suburban Frederick recently donated
$500 in support of FSK Mall's Operation PJ Pile Up, a project
run by Pajama Program - a not-for-profit organization
providing new, warm pajamas as well as nurturing books
to children
in need. Operation PJ Pile Up runs through Dec. 31,
2008. "We are pleased to be able to support FSK Mall's pajama program as it is a good
fit for our club's primary focus which is helping needy
children." said Ed Crawford, the club's Young Children Priority One Committee Chairman. "We are also pleased to be able to support FSK Mall who, after all, has for many
years generously donated space for our club to hold its
annual gift wrap fund raiser," added club Vice Pres. Mick Hickman. Pictured (l to r) presenting the check at
the Kiwanis FSK Mall Gift Wrap tables are Mick Hickman,
Ed Crawford, FSK Mall Marketing Director Christina
Steinbrenner, and FSK Mall General Manager, Bill Detora.
The public
is welcomed to have their gifts wrapped at the FSK
Mall for
a donation. Kiwanis is a service organization of volunteers
helping others. For information about joining Kiwanis,
