Pat Tiede Honored with Awards
by Shira E. Oler, Kiwanis Club of Bethesda
She's vivacious and has a "never-say-no" attitude, especially when it comes to Kiwanis. Pat Tiede, club secretary for the Kiwanis Club of Bethesda, was recently named by John Tyner as the 2010 Outstanding Division 17 K-Family Member. She was also presented with the Kiwanis International George F. Hixson Medal at the Bethesda Club's recent induction of new officers.
Her fellow Bethesda Club members are extremely proud of her and pleased to see her recognized with both of these honors. We are all inspired by her devotion to Kiwanis, her continuous encouragement to our members to attend meetings and her untiring support of the Club's and Division's service projects. An early supporter of the Miracle League project of the Bethesda Club, she continues to push for the project's visibility wherever she can. In addition to her years as our club secretary, Pat also took on the role of our Webmaster and has been the right-hand "man" for every president for the last six years.
As if that wasn't enough, she accepted the position of Division 17 secretary and Webmaster for the Division, and secretary to the Miracle League of Montgomery County, too!
We are lucky and honored to have Pat Tiede as a member of the Kiwanis Club of Bethesda.
