Suburban Frederick Club Institutes New Speaker Gift Program
by Dave Maloney
For many years, the Kiwanis Club of Suburban Frederick has presented speakers with a small replica of the Kiwanis bell as a token of appreciation.
Recently, as part of Kiwanis' Read Around the World Program, our club has instituted a new speaker gift program. Instead of presenting speakers with the replica bell, the club will henceforth make a presentation to the local C. Burr Artz Public Library of a child's book—pre-selected by the library and given in the name of the visiting speaker(s).
Space on the bookplate is provided for speakers to sign their names and to note their organization.
