Tabb Kiwanis Club Selects Bradley Lewis Burdick as 2009 Teen of the Year

Mr. Burdick is a senior at Tabb High School with a GPA 0f 3.8 and planning to attend Ohio State University in the fall. He loves mathematics and hopes to teach math at public school after his graduate study. He is the President of Tabb High School Debate Team, the Captain of Scholastic Bowl Team, and a VHSL representative. He is also active in Forensics Team, National Honor Society, Jazz Choir, and the Future Educators of America. He serves on Tabb High School's Student Leadership Team that helps administration formulate student policy. He volunteered in tutoring Spanish at his school and helping local Soup Kitchen with his church youth group. He spent a week in Jamaica painting schools, building homes, and helping the poor in general during Catholic Heart mission trip. He truly understands the citizenship and serving others. As he puts it: volunteering taught me to be selfless.
He is a gifted vocalist and an orator who has performed at the highest level at school and at his church. He is an Eagle Scout and a Senior Patrol Leader who leads a troop of over 50 scouts in various tasks.
Passionate, diligent, well-spoken, and with a strong system of value, he is an outstanding young man and a terrific role model.
