Mount Airy Kiwanis Celebrates Its 60th Charter Night

Mt. Airy Kiwanis conducted a very special Charter Night -- its 60th on Wednesday, May 20. Upwards of 75 members, spouses, and special guests joined together at the Mt. Airy Senior Center to enjoy a memorable evening and celebrate this significant event. The program included recognition of visiting dignitaries, the three clubs that originally went together to sponsor the Mt. Airy club (Westminster, Ellicott City and Taneytown), a brief history of the Mt. Airy club, and the opportunity for the club's service committee chairs to share with the audience some details of what the club is currently doing service-wise, and the types of opportunities that lie ahead. Special music was provided by new club member Chuck Botts and his Barbershop Quartet, Yours in Harmony.
