Bogarde Named Hixon Fellow

Local Kiwanis member, Norm Bogarde, was recently named a George F. Hixon Fellow, by the Mt. Airy Kiwanis Club. Bogarde receives his Hixon in recognition of 30+ years of significant contribution to the local Mt. Airy Kiwanis Club and community, during which time he has served in virtually every club office, including club President, chaired most of the club's committees and coordinated numerous fundraisers. He is the seventh member of the Mt. Airy club to receive the honor. Presenting the award to Bogarde is club president Stephanie Dalhquist.
