Westlake HighSchool Key "Adopts" Soldier
by Fred Sanford
The Westlake High School Key Club is adopting a soldier for the second straight year. This year's Adopt-a-Soldier is Private First Class (PFC) Jamal R. Brown. PFC Brown is originally from Durham, North Carolina and is currently stationed with the 4th Infantry Division in Afghanistan. PFC Brown is a Forward Observer and his primary responsibilities are reconnaissance, intelligence gathering as well as calling in artillery strikes on enemy positions.
During the academic school year, we will collect snacks, toiletries, etc. and send PFC Brown a care package from time to time for himself as well as the other soldiers he serves alongside. We will also correspond with him and offer our continued support and encouragement that all of our servicemen and women so rightfully deserve.
The Westlake High School Key Club stands ready to serve those who serve our country such as PFC Jamal R. Brown.
Have a great day and we look forward to seeing our two (2) articles in the ebuilder.
Respectfully Submitted,
