Why Should Your Club Charter a New Builders Club: Reason #6

Our club gets a new demographic for recruitment

by Jennifer Dugent Wolff, Builders Club Administrator

Does it feel like you've thought of everything when it comes to recruitment? Do you feel like the well has dried up in terms on places to look to get more members for your Kiwanis Club? There is one demographic that probably hasn't crossed your mind, and that is middle school parents.
Parents of middle school children can be very involved in what is going on with their children's activities and schooling. If your club sponsors a Builders Club, you will be exposed to an entire pool of parents that want to be involved in what their children are doing. If a person's child is in Builders Club, they might be interested in joining the Kiwanis Club that sponsors them. They can have an opportunity to work with their child on projects and make a positive impact on the Builders Club by speaking for it at Kiwanis Meetings. They might even be interested in serving as the Kiwanis advisor.

When you are making opportunities for children to join the Kiwanis Family, you are giving their parents that very same opportunity. That membership increase is just around the corner. But first you need a Builders Club! Contact Builders Club Administrator Jen Dugent to learn how your club can get your very own Builders Club.
