Inaugural Meeting of Arlington Club's "Kiwanis Plus"

Arlington, VA, March 7, 2011 - The Arlington Kiwanis Club hosted its inaugural Kiwanis Plus (K+) meeting on March 7.  The club began to offer an additional evening meeting to attract new members and welcome back current members who cannot attend the club's weekly luncheon meetings.  Other clubs attending were Fairfax, Tyson's-McLean and Alexandria.

The first Kiwanis Plus gathering was at Rock Bottom Grill in Arlington. Dan Carlson, Financial Representative of Northwest Mutual Financial Network, provided an informative presentation on "How to Build Financial Security."

The meetings are designed to be Metro accessible, include an informative guest speaker, cost no additional expense to the club, and offer food and beverage options which are ordered and paid for by those attending.
