Kiwanis Clubs of Mercury 64 and Downtown Hampton

Two Kiwanis Clubs join together to support Mayor's Book Club! For the 2nd year in a row, the Kiwanis Clubs of Mercury 64 and Downtown Hampton have partnered to support the Mayor's Book Club. At a recent club meeting, Debbie Russell, executive director of Healthy Families Partnership (HFP), accepted a $2000 check from the club presidents that will be used to purchase books for the Mayor's Book Club. Since it's inception three years ago, the Mayor's Book Club has received over $30,000 in donations from Kiwanis Clubs in Hampton. The Kiwanis Club of Mercury 64's Immediate Past President, Sarah Bowman, was recognized as a Distinguished President for her leadership during her term as President from 2009 - 2010. The club also received a Distinguished Club Award at the Hampton Roads Kiwanis Mid-Winter Conference on February 12 at Old Dominion. Pictured above are Div. 13 Lt.
