Annual Club Report Fun Facts…
At the time of submission of annual club reporting (ACR) data, there were 7,735 total Kiwanis Clubs worldwide. Of that total, 5,253 clubs (or 68% of all clubs) submitted ACR data. Of all submissions, over 93% came from the North America Region. 85% of our reporting clubs indicated a net profit as the result of fundraising efforts. Nearly 97% of the clubs reporting a net profit then distributed at least some of these funds into projects/ organizations/communities that they support. 60% of all responding clubs indicated some of that money was put into scholarships to support further educating of our youth.
Nearly 84% of the reporting clubs indicated that their efforts benefitted at least one child in their community. Over all, project work benefitted over 15 million youngsters. Over 95% of the reporting clubs indicated that they devoted at least one hour to service and in most cases, it was much higher than that. One of the key projects reported was the giving of more than two million dollars to children's hospitals and the Children's Miracle Network.
Service Leadership Programs (SLP) support also continues to be a priority to many of our Kiwanis Clubs. The vast majority of support goes behind our largest SLP, Key Club. Over 50% of the reporting clubs indicated their support behind at least one Key Club in their area. Some 20% of clubs also support the Key Leader program by either hosting/helping with a Key Leader event in their area or helping pay the expenses for a youngster(s) to attend.
