THE VIRGINIA BEACH-COMBERS
"CHIPPING IN FOR CHILDREN" GOLF TOURNAMENT
RAISES OVER $7,000 FOR LOCAL CHARITIES
The Kiwanis Club of the Virginia Beach-Combers celebrated our Fourteenth Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Wednesday, September 22nd. As our average age is eighty-one, we thought we did a Cracker Jack job while having lots of fun.

We satisfied nineteen teams, plus all our Beach-Combers volunteers with an all you can eat lunch of hamburgers, hot dogs and BBQ, with all the fixins, plenty of beer, a great round of golf, topped off with a raffle of over forty prizes, including eighteen rounds of golf donated by local golf courses, plus a complete set of Calloway Golf Clubs and Bag. With this quality of prizes, who wouldn't want to join us?
We'll split the profits evenly between the following charities: Kiwanis Children's Council of Hampton Roads - (www.KidsPriorityOne.org), Edmarc Hospice for Children, Judeo Christian Outreach, Boys and Girls Clubs, Children's Workshop, Mercy Medical Airlift, Beach Health Clinic, Together We Can, Meals on Wheels, Samaritan House and Seton House
Now, we can catch our breath for a few days. Many months of work is over...until next year.
Ain't being a Kiwanian fun.
