NVCC Woodbridge CKI Club says "Thanks" to the Woodbridge Kiwanis Club

At a recent Woodbridge Kiwanis Club meeting at the Montclair Country Club, Rachel Villarroel, Club President of the NVCC Woodbridge Campus CKI Club presented a large hand made "thank you" poster card to the Woodbridge Kiwanis Club, their sponsoring club. Circle K International (CKI) is a collegiate service leadership club that is student-led. As college students, they want to do so many things, but are sometimes unable to because of financial reasons. They decided that they should do something to let their Kiwanis Club know that they sincerely appreciate all that they do, not only for their club, but also for the community. Rachel came up with idea to make a big poster card, because she loved getting big cards from her friends. The CKI club readily endorsed the idea and Jackie Lainez, a member, took charge of the project. Developing the card took more time than they had planned, but they had fun. They hoped that this gesture would allow them to bond more as a member of the Kiwanis family. It worked! The members of the Woodbridge Kiwanis Club were totally surprised and overwhelmed by the size and meaningful intent of the card. Club President Randy Zeigler and Service Leadership Program Chair Al Knehans readily accepted the card and thanked them for their efforts and thoughtful gesture. What will they come up with next?
