Kiwanis Club of Laplata Holds First Annual Bunco Fundraiser

Our club held a Bunco social/fundraiser October 8th. Many who came to support this fundraiser had never played the game before but after about three minutes, they were all pros and didn't want to take a break when one was offered! We had several door prizes which were provided by several club members as well as Jonna Clime, owner of Janina Wellness Center in Waldorf who supplied a gift certificate for massage therapy, The Skin Haven's Jennifer Cooney, in LaPlata supplied a gift certificate towards any service, Old Line Bank supplied beautiful commemorative silver dollars, Russ Lasner of Aflac supplied us with Aflac duck keychains, John Flatley, owner of Chic-Fil-A of LaPlata, supplied coupons and I supplied hand crafted greeting cards. Our delicious desserts were sponsored by Jim Gorney, an attorney in LaPlata, and Tom Agostinelli, owner of T. A. Wealth Management, in LaPlata. Bobby Cooper, owner of Marie's Diner in LaPlata, was on hand to help in any way he could. Everyone had a great time and are looking forward to another night of Bunco in the near future.
