SDHS Key Club Supports Parent Kiwanis Club

The Key Club at Stephen Decatur High School is the high school level club of Kiwanis International and is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Greater Ocean Pines - Ocean City. There are many events that the Key Club holds on their own, but the hard working students also often work at many of the parent club's events. At the Kiwanis Annual Fall Pancake Breakfast held October 8th in the Ocean Pines Community Center, some Key Club members worked as servers with Kiwanis members.

One of the Key Club members, Jenna Abbaticchio, is pictured working in the kitchen with the "Backroom Boys" flipping pancakes (L to R) Ed Aurand, Ralph Chinn, "Jenna the Flipper" and Skip Dennig. Jenna, a junior at SDHS, was back in the kitchen for the second time having cooked at another breakfast during her sophomore year.

The proceeds of this breakfast and all the other events go to support scholarships for deserving local high school senior students to further their education. The next Kiwanis event is Germanfest to be held at the Ocean Pines Community Center on Sunday November 6th from 5 PM until 7:30 PM.
