Shenandoah Valley Club: Belk Charity Sale Fundraiser Event - For Shoppers Only!

The Shenandoah Valley Kiwanis Club has been participating in the Belk Charity Sale for the last several seasons. Our club has raised about $1600 a year by participating in this low-labor, no-cost fundraiser. Belk stores are located throughout Virginia and Maryland, so this may be a quick and potential fundraiser for local clubs.

Belk designates two Saturdays a year for Charity Sale, one in the fall and one in the spring. Saturday, Organizations sell tickets for $5.00, then the purchaser shops at Belk on the designated days and gets $5.00 of a purchase. The ticket sales money goes directly to the organization. For example, if our club sold 200 tickets, we would raise $1000. The big bonus is the incredible sales Belk has on the designated days. Belk allows for 'pre-sales' the week prior to the big day also just in case the ticket purchaser cannot be there from 6:00 am to 10:00 am on the designated day. November 5 is the fall date, but clubs may want to investigate for the spring. For more information, check this Belk link.
