- The first Governor of the Capital District was Alfred G. Goodrich, of the Baltimore City Club. He served as governor for two terms.
- The Capital District was formed on August 29th, 1918 in Baltimore, Md. The two clubs the formed the district were Baltimore City and Washington DC
- The six permanent Objects of Kiwanis was adopted during the 1924 convention held in Denver, Co.
- Each club in good standing is allowed to have 2 delegates seated at the House of Delegates. Along with 2 alternates delegates.
