Woodbridge Kiwanis Club Hosts Fourth Annual Get-Together Luncheon for its SLP Club Advisors

by Brian Bell

On August 25, 2011, the Woodbridge Kiwanis Club hosted its fourth annual "Get-Together" luncheon for the Faculty Advisors of its Service Leadership Programs at the Montclair Country Club in Woodbridge, VA. The highlight of the luncheon was the PowerPoint presentation on "WELCOME KEY CLUBBERS and other Kiwanis Family Members" by Rachel Villarroel, President the CKI Club at Northern Virginia Community College, Woodbridge Campus. Not only did she develop and produce a very professional slide show, her presentation was outstanding as she immediately made and kept contact with the attendees with her voice, knowledge of the subject, humor and audience participation. She received a well deserved round of applause at the end. Rachel will present this program at the Training Session for the incoming officers of our five sponsored Key Clubs in late September. The luncheon lasted over two hours.

"No one can fill Ellis’ shoes, but I will use all the skills and talents I have to be the best District Secretary/Treasurer that I can be," said Tom. ...more
