My Key Leader Experience by Yein (Ashburn, Virginia)

My experienceat Key Leader in 2011 was phenomenal. It was absolutely amazing, and the best weekend of my life.

"Yein, give me your hand, don't give up, you can do it!" I can never forget these words and the hands that reached down for me during the ropes course training. When I started climbing the wall, I was so scared that I wanted to give up, but my new Key Leader friends and the adult chaperones were calling out myname, offering their hands, and telling me that I could do it and that they were here for me. That moment I looked up, I was so touched. To know that so many people believed in me and offered to help me from both above and below me meant so much.

Everyone at Key Leader was wonderful, and I cannot thank everyone enough for giving me such a life-changing experience.

Thank you, Key Leader, for changing my life, giving me hope, opening my eyes, and teaching me the value of serving others. I am so grateful I was able to attend. Every high school student deserves this experience, as it is guaranteed that this wonderful program will impact many lives. I enjoyed every second of Key Leader, and I am ready to go back as a student facilitator in 2012!

Thank you, Key Leader.
