Battlefield Kiwanis and Wreaths Across America
by Cliff Blasius, Jr.
The Battlefield Kiwanis Club of Manassas sponsored a program of Wreaths Across America for the months of October and November. We had a booth at the Fall Jubilee held in Manassas in October where we sold Pork Sandwiches and soft drinks and took donations for Christmas Wreaths to be placed in Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, Virginia. These Wreaths are place on Veterans graves the second Saturday in December to coincide with the Wreath Laying at Arlington National Cemetery.

Our Keys Clubs also helped to sponsor this program and together with our club went to Quantico National Cemetery on December 10, 2011 to assist in placing the Wreaths on the graves of our Veterans. This was a fund raiser for both our clubs and a community project in decorating the graves. We sold close to 450 Wreaths and intend to do it again next year. Good project and good times with the Key Clubbers.
