Waldorf Kiwanis & Christmas in April

This year is the 20th anniversary for Christmas in April Charles County's volunteers repairing and restoring homes for needy residents. Kiwanis Club of Waldorf has volunteered for a house project every year. This year the project was for the Christmas in April storage facility. On April 24, the club built a wall and storage shelves and carried equipment and supplies to the newly-built storage facililty, as well as cleaning out and throwing out some very old junk. Twelve club members helped, as shown in the photograph with the filled dumpster. Not shown is photographer standing on chair. Afterwards, the work crew gathered at the Charles County Fairgrounds for a relaxing dinner cooked and served by more volunteers.
