Ocean
Pines-Ocean City Club Recognized
by Carol Ludwig, Ex. Dir, Ocean Pines Area Chamber of Commerce
The Ocean Pines Area Chamber of Commerce is very proud to announce our annual awards, one of which is the Citizen(s) Of The Year which goes to the Kiwanis Club of Ocean Pines-Ocean City. It is a first for this Chamber to name an organization as Citizen Of The Year, but it was an obvious choice. The Kiwanis Club has volunteered and aided in many programs and improvements at local schools, and still found the time to volunteer many hours to Chamber events. Their "Child Car Seat Sticker Program" is becoming popular way beyond Worcester County and this is attributed to their endless efforts in providing these stickers, free of charge, to every person they meet.
Shown are members of the Kiwanis Club of Greater Ocean Pines-Ocean City receives the Ocean Pines Area Chamber "Round of Applause" for their support of the ALS Walk, their Child Safety Seat Stickers and volunteer hours to the Chamber's booth at the Delmarva Chicken Festival.
