Young Children Priority One

This month has been a little busy for Rehoboth Beach YCPO and Imagination Library. First, the Coastal Chapter of American Association for University Women hosted a Preschool Forum in Rehoboth Beach on early childhood poverty and education. The forum was very informative and helped make some good contacts to help support the Imagination Library. Grotto Pizza, Sunrise Rotary of Rehoboth and Wilmington Trust are all donating funds to help support Imagination Library this month. We are getting closer to our goal of sending the books out to the local children again soon. Our website may be down this month as we are changing hosts. Rosemary Cummings and I visited the Georgetown Boys and Girls Club to do a read-aloud program with the pre-school and kindergarten children there. We joined Holland Van Valkenburgh and President Shirley Dennis of the Georgetown Kiwanis to enjoy several picture books with the children.
