Division 11 Interclub Visits
by Rosemary Cummings
(Above) January 13 was the day Delmarva Division 11 Clubs could be found getting to know fellow Kiwanians at one of two giant Interclub visits. It all started when President Mary Anderson of Greater Millsboro invited all area Clubs to visit the NRG plant with the Millsboro Club and over 30 Kiwanians from Seaford, Millsboro and Rehoboth Beach accepted the invitation to visit the energy plant on the Indian River Bay and later enjoyed a sumptuous meal together, an informative briefing, and lively conversation. Lt. Gov Cummings had to do double duty as she attended one Interclub in the early evening and then left midway to drive up Route 13 to Dover where another 70 Kiwanians and friends gathered from Elkton, Wilmington, Bridgeville, Georgetown and Dover to celebrate the Dover Club's 75th anniversary. Dignitaries from the city of Dover and Delaware took this occasion to recognize Kiwanis for the tremendous work the Club performs for the community.
(Right) The Club then took this occasion to recognize many members with Legion of Merit Awards for service ranging from 25 to 47 years. The highlight of the evening occurred as two Dover Kiwanians, PLG Allan Kujala and PP Charles Marks received Hixson Awards. A great night for Kiwanis and Interclubs in Division 11.
