The Capital District Leadership Team
Go to the District website, click on "District Leadership", and you will now see pages that display updated information and material on the Capital District Leadership Team for 2009-10. Included are photos and messages from both Governor Don Dudey and Gov-Elect Tom Varner well as photos and contact Information for each of the District's 8 Trustees, and each of this year's class of Lieutenant Governors
- Do you know Governor Don's and Governor-Elect's Tom's goals for the year? (clue: give each of their messages a read and you'll quickly find out!)
- Do you know who are our 8 District Trustees this year, their home club, Division and Region (see for yourself on the District Leadership pages)
- Club leaders & members: do you know who is your LtG this year? Better yet, have you personally expressed your appreciation to them for their service in this most valuable and important Kiwanis role?
Check out these new updated sections on the District website. You'll be able to find the answers to these questions and much much more!
Your Capital District Club Support Committees
And speaking of "Did You Know....?", Did you know that there are 16 different Committees (count them ..... 16), chaired and staffed by fellow Capital District Kiwanians who are ready and prepared to provide your club with specific types of developmental support, assistance and resources?
We call these the Capital District Club Support Committees, and, up to now, they have been an extremely well-kept secret. But no more! These committees and the fellow Kiwanians who have volunteered to chair and staff the committees, are intent on helping the 160+ clubs in the District in a variety of ways. Whether that need or interest is Club Growth & Development, Club Operations, one of the 5 Service Leadership Program support committees, or another particular topic, there is likely a support committee that can match up with and respond to your need.
Take a look at this new section of the District website and you'll see a photo and contact information for the chairperson for each of these very valuable committees. You'll also see a brief description of each committee and the types of assistance and benefit they are prepared to offer to requesting clubs.
Get to know your District Club Support Committees-they exist to support and help the Kiwanis clubs of the Capital District grow and develop. Give them a call and see for yourself!
