Town Center Kiwanis continues to grow!

We added two new members this month--Tim Harrison and Kurt Peitrich. Their installation may be when we install our new officers in September.

On August 3rd members enjoyed a social evening at The Forbidden City Chinese restaurant and this acted as a payback for their support of our golf tournament and 5K race each year.

On August 11 our club hosted a group of Kiwanians from the Great Bridge Kiwanis club of Chesapeake, VA.

Our President, Scott Brinkman, attended the District Convention from August 20 - 22.

Our race committee has raised nearly $9000 in sponsorships for the upcoming November race and continues to meet and plan for that event.

We supported REACH this month with the help of the NATO wives club.

On August 28 we had our Summer Social at the home of Eileen Werber around her inviting swimming pool and lovely view of the Lynnhaven River.

Next month brings us to our Neptune Festival activities where we "man" the beer tent. this year we will be at the l7th Street Stage. WE can only hope for pleasant weather and no more "heatwave".
