Delegates to the 92nd annual Kiwanis Capital District Convention overwhelming passed an amendment to the Capital District bylaws, which changed the amount of District dues to $32.00 per year, effective October 1, 2010. The previous Bylaw statement set District dues at $16.00 per year. Votes in favor of the dues increase exceeded those against the increase by better than two-to-one...
On Saturday, the 28th of August, Bethesda Kiwanis and Kiwanians from all the clubs in Division 17 held a special event. There was an exhibition game with disabled children playing baseball.

The Kiwanis Club of Frederick assisted with a $2500 donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Frederick County, along with other businesses, in providing school supplies to those needy chlldren in the Frederick area.
