Kiwanians Continue Support of Pediatric Hospitals
by PG Art Riley
Kiwanians at the 2010 Capital District Convention continued their generous support of the Pediatric Trauma Hospitals that service the children of the Capital District by purchasing the 2010 edition of the "Pediatric Trauma Pin." Kiwanians donated more than $1300 to the Capital District Foundation through the purchase of these pins. The pin is red white and blue with a prominent Kiwanis Logo, a picture of a child in a wheelchair and a depiction of the Washington Monument to represent the Capital District. Because of the colorful appearance, the pins attract attention and generate questions about Kiwanis. Wear them proudly.
For Kiwanians who did not attend the convention and desire to have one of these limited edition pins, they may be purchased for $5.00 each. Simply send a check for $5.00 for each pin, made payable to the Capital District Foundation, to Arthur Riley, 250 Uniontown Road, Westminster, MD 21157. These pins can also be purchased by clubs. They are ideal to present to Kiwanians to recognize personal achievements within the club, to Key Clubbers or CKI members to honor service or to club speakers as a reminder of Kiwanian service.
