IMG_5248.JPG - Now a “SPECIAL Tribute, Recognition and Thank You” was made to Ellis H. Stroup, the Capital District Secretary-Treasurer for almost thirty seven years! Wow! Thirty seven years! Ellis has been the underlying strength, font of knowledge for club officers and all leadership teams. I don’t know a governor who has not benefited form his advice and support, and occasional corrections, that Ellis could give. This was due to his vast accumulated experience, international contacts and his desire to have the Capital District always succeed. He has been and is greatly respected by his fellow district Secretary-Treasurers though out Kiwanis International. The Kiwanis Club of Eastern Branch put this short tribute to Ellis. It reads: “Now the REAL Fun begins. Congratulations and Happy Retirement. Relax and enjoy it. After 35 years, you’ve earned it.”
