IMG_5108.JPG - After breakfast, attendees were off to visit the exhibits and to chose which of the many club workshops members will attend. The CDKF – Capital District Kiwanis Foundation had it’s both just outside the breakfast room. Past CDKF Presidents Roger Diehl and Joe Moranto flank PG & past CDKF VP Bob Cressy as they man the exhibit booth and answer questions. The Foundation is our tax-exempt 501c3 charitable arm to help fund our Service Leadership Programs and provide some grants to clubs for their worthy projects. Funds are invested in an endowment with the earnings used for projects. Did you know that club donations of $2.00 per member has added up to more than $268,000 over the years? And that the Founder’s Society membership added another $110,000? All funds stay within the District as we continue to support the Kiwanis International Foundation as well.
