IMG_6536.JPG - Sunday’s Inspirational Speaker was Dr. Barbara E. Joe who spoke to us principally about her time in the Peace Corps which she joined later in life, when she was 62. She spoke a little Spanish so volunteered to serve in Latin America. She served a tour of 27 months; training plus two years in Honduras. She discussed their poverty and living conditions with no electricity, limited safe water, a low educational level and diseases. She was reaching out suggesting personally that we help personally with some financial donation. She’s very dedicated to her cause.
